What are character traits?

Character traits are all the aspects of a person's behavior and attitudes that make up a person's personality. When reading, it is important to learn about the character's traits or qualities. The character traits allow the reader to more fully understand the scope of the story and how the characters relate with each other and the setting. There are different types of characters in narratives. Simple, complex, flat, round, static and dynamic are just some of the ways a character may be described or depicted in a text.
