About Us

EnglishLinx is a free educational website created by an English teacher with over 20 years of real classroom teaching and curriculum leadership experience.

The English worksheets have been tried and tested inside classrooms to help students learn. The EnglishLinx Learning Loop is a proven educator and parent teaching method that helps students build skills by learning the concept, practicing with worksheets, and then completing an online quiz for review.

EnglishLinx was built on a simple belief: students learn best when technology supports learning — not when screens replace human instruction. The site is intentionally designed to work alongside teachers, parents, and classrooms, not as a stand-alone digital program.

The EnglishLinx Learning Loop

At the core of the site is the EnglishLinx Learning Loop, a hybrid learning model that balances short, focused screen use with hands-on practice and real interaction.

The learning loop works like this:

  • Review the skill using a short explanation or example on the screen
  • Practice offline with printable worksheets
  • Return to the skill to take the online quiz for review

This approach mirrors effective classroom instruction and helps students build understanding without sitting in front of a device for long periods of time.

EnglishLinx organizes learning around clear, skill-based instruction. All skill explanations and practice resources can be found in the Skills Hub Directory.

Why Hybrid Learning Matters

Research and classroom experience consistently show that children learn more effectively when instruction is guided by a teacher or parent and reinforced through active, hands-on practice.

EnglishLinx supports a healthy hybrid learning approach by combining:

  • Short, purposeful screen-based instruction
  • Printable worksheets for tactile, offline learning
  • Opportunities for discussion, feedback, and correction

This structure promotes deeper understanding, stronger retention, and healthier screen habits while keeping learning efficient and intentional.
