Subject and Predicate Worksheets
What is a Subject and Predicate?
The subject part of a sentence names whom or what the sentence is about. The predicate part of a sentence tells what action the subject does. The predicate often begins with a verb. If the writer leaves out the subject or predicate, they do not have a a complete sentence. It is important to learn how to write with complete sentences that contain both a subject and predicate.
