The linking verb worksheet is separated into two sections; present tense and past tense. The student must first write sentences with present tense linking verbs. The second part has students write sentences with past tense linking verbs. A linking verb is a verb that connects the subject part with a noun or adjective in the predicate part. Linking verbs include; is, was, were, are, am.
