Commas after Introductory Phrase or Clause Worksheet
About this Worksheet: This commas worksheet instructs the student to re-write each sentence and add commas to the introductory phrase or clause. Often an introductly phrase or clause has a pause between it and the rest of the sentence. Because most introductory phases or clauses are sentence fragments, they need a comma to go between them and the rest of the sentence. They do not express a complete thought, so they need the rest of the sentence to be complete. Commas always go after an introductory phrase or clause.
This worksheet is suitable for 6th Grade, 7th Grade and 8th Grade.
