About this Worksheet: This theme worksheet directs the student to write what they think is the theme of the story and recognize how it develops throughout. The student must write the theme of the text and write what happens to contribute to the theme in the beginning, middle, and end of the text. In most narratives, the theme whether stated or implied is developed througout. It is the reader's job to try to find the theme of the text and how all the other literary devices relate to it.
